Monday, August 10, 2009 at 7:00 pm , GVCM Opening Violin Recital: Byungwon Lim, Violin*

GVCM is proud to present Korean violinist Byungwon Lim (Guest Performing Artist).*

The program will include music by Mozart, Park (USA Premiere), Beethoven, and Brahms, with pianist Enrico Elisi. The concert will happen in Rando Recital Hall (Beam Music Center, UNLV). Free entrance.

On Tuesday, August 11, at 1:50 p.m. Mr. Lim will teach a master class at the festival (location TBA)

*This recital was made possible by a 2009 Research Grant from Kyungsung University, South Korea.

Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 3:00 pm GVCM Chamber Orchestra Gala Concert

The Gala Concert will take place in Judy Bayley Theatre at UNLV. The program will include music by Dvorak, Mahler and Villa-Lobos. 
GVCM Chamber Orchestra lead by Taras Krysa, with Arsenia Brickley as soloist.




All performances will take place in Rando Recital Hall, unless otherwise specified. Rando Recital Hall is located in the Beam Music Center building in the UNLV Campus. The Gala Concert will take place in Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall. With comfortable seating for 1,832, excellent acoustics, great sightlines, and a spacious, beautifully decorated lobby with a gallery wall of fine art, the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall is a grand venue the likes of which cannot be found anywhere else in Nevada.
